Hello Ms. Deborah,
I hope you are doing well. Are you the same Deborah Henderson Roberts who wrote the funny story “The Shoplifter,” from a very recently published book for the Chicken Soup for the Soul, The Dog Did What? The story, however, was a very well written and funny article.
Best wishes,

Thank you for writing. I am glad you liked it.
What touched me in the story is your mother’s concerns about what Meghan had been taking from the store. Likewise yours, my mother has never strayed from her values. When my twin brother and I were little boys, she always made sure that none of us took something, even an insignificant, from the store whenever she accompanied us for shopping because, as she said, it is unlawful to take something that doesn’t belong to us. We are now passing this invaluable lesson on to our own children. The foundation stones for a balanced success are honesty, loyalty, love, and integrity.
All the best,
Hamza
Last night I got the chance to read another impressive story for you. It came to me from the same daily newsletter and it was about your grandson, Mark, and how you made him feel special by throwing the middle rock into the brook. As usual, your articles are always unique and beautifully written. Love garden grows in a grandmother’s heart indeed, wishing you all the best in your writing career.
